PROJECT 7

FURGET ME NOT

This was my final project of my 3 year Fashion Communication and Promotion course at Nottingham Trent University. I had to conduct a report of 8000 words with the topic of my choice.
The topic I explored was 'How does social media impact trends in popular dog breeds and what are the negative effects of this?'. This topic was of importance to me as I felt as though there was a needed conversation about how dogs are currently being seen as fashion trends and bought for their aesthetic rather than their personality.

The outcome of my project would be an interactive event which would subconsciously educate the consumer to consider all aspects of dog ownership, alongside the event would be a zine which would be available at the pop-up as well as there being an online version.

I chose this event layout as a maze and one-way system was more efficient and affective when trying to guide the consumer around the event. It means that they can take in more as they are unable to go backwards, therefore it will be memorable.

Overall, the event will show the journey and life of a dog. From their accessive chewing to the classic 'dog smell'. The sections from the maze layout will be oversized props which will make the event more interactive.
